Gözde is the director of Akbank Jazz Festival, the most prominent jazz festival in Turkey – launched in 1991, with concerts in Istanbul. The festival not only hosts prominent jazz figures from across the globe, but also paves the way for emerging and promising next-gen artists. Akbank has now become a versatile production, adopting panels, workshops, film screening sessions, concerts and social responsibility projects.
Expanding its musical scope over the years – by including various electronic, hip-hop and world music projects alongside classical and modern jazz works – Akbank Jazz Festival will transform the city this fall by bringing different genres of music together with the finest in jazz.
