Studied classical guitar, fine arts and direction for dramatic arts.
Works as a music journalist (since 1985) for the Kleine Zeitung – the second biggest newspaper in Austria and some music magazines, and also on a weekly radio broadcast.
Founder and director of the jazz venue Stockwerk in Graz (since 1994) and
artistic director of the International Jazz Festival Leibnitz.
Former artistic director of the festivals Graz Meeting and Austrian Soundcheck in Graz and New York. Jury member of several international jazz awards.
